Windsong is one of Trussville’s most attractive subdivisions! Set around Windsong Lake, to the east of Trussville, this neighborhood has a rural feel with many trees and narrower streets yet it’s only just over a mile from Highway 11 and the Deerfoot Parkway.
Homes in Windsong are popular with many buyers as this subdivision has a lot going for it. The rural feel is popular with families, while Windsong Lake attracts boaters. There are trails to walk and bike on, and Windsong is a best of both worlds place to call home with quick access into to the highway, grocery store, Trussville and the Interstate.
In terms of the number of homes, Windsong is one of the smaller subdivisions in Trussville with around 100 single family homes set over several different attractive streets. Only a select number of homes in Windsong are lakeside, and many of them have private jetties so you can swim or boat right from your property. As you would expect, Windsong lakefront homes command a higher list price but with such a variety of home styles and sizes it’s difficult to give a price range.
Many homes feature in-ground pools, and in general, homes in Windsong were built in the 1990s though there are a few dating to the 1980s as well.
Depending on where you’re living within the subdivision it’s about a mile or two back to Highway 11 and The Shops at Deerfoot. There’s a huge Publix grocery store, gas station, bank and several other services right here, and it’s less than 2 miles into the center of Trussville once you’re on Highway 11. Travel up the Deerfoot Parkway a mile and a half on you’re on I-59, or head north along Highway 11 for a mile and you’ll reach Paine Primary School.
